The German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure is funding Emqopter GmbH as part of the SUCOM (Superior UTM Communication System) project. The project deals with the development of a communication system based on mobile radio networks in order to integrate drones more efficiently into existing air traffic and to control unmanned aerial objects beyond the pilot's visual range more safely and efficiently. Emqopter is contributing as one of four project partners with a real-time "onboard" sensor system for obstacle detection and collision avoidance. As well as the integration of a transponder solution for visualization in manned airspace.
